Improv Comedy: Level 1 ( Beginners )
Step into the world of improv comedy in a fun, supportive, and welcoming environment! Whether you’re looking to perform professionally, build confidence, or just have a laugh with other creative folks, this course is the perfect place to start.
Through engaging games and exercises, you’ll explore the core principles of improvisation, including Yes, And, giving and accepting offers, and building compelling scenes. You’ll gain familiarity with improv terminology, develop quick-thinking skills, and discover how to tap into your comedic instincts.
No prior experience is necessary—whether you’re brand new to improv or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll leave this course with newfound confidence, a stronger comedic foundation, and a great group of new connections. Improv is not just for performers—it’s an incredible tool for communication in everyday life, helping you think on your feet, actively listen, and engage more effectively in social and work environments. Get ready to challenge yourself creatively in the most enjoyable way possible!

CHARACTER LAB WORKSHOP
Tired of playing the same characters or defaulting to a version of yourself? Character Lab is your introduction to the core skills of improv character development. Perfect for improvisers looking to expand their physical performance abilities, this workshop focuses on creating a diverse range of characters that bring energy, depth, and authenticity to every scene.
Through practical exercises, you’ll explore techniques that use physicality, voice, and emotional choices to craft compelling characters with unique quirks, behaviors, and desires. You’ll also learn how to balance grounded honesty with playful absurdity, building characters that elevate the stories you tell on stage.
In Character Lab, You’ll Be Introduced To:
Voice, physicality, and emotion to develop distinct characters.
Explore character archetypes and power dynamics.
Strengthen scene relationships by uncovering characters’ motivations and shared histories.
Break out of familiar patterns, embrace physical choices, and discover new characters full of humour and truth.
Workshop is suitable for improvisers who have completed Improv level 1 or equivalent.
